The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Returns

After a break since 2019, Victoria’s Secret is bringing back its iconic Fashion Show on October 15th in New York City. The world’s largest lingerie brand will once again showcase its most coveted designs in the traditional runway format.

While 2023 saw a different approach with the documentary “Victoria’s Secret: The Tour 23“, this year marks the return of the live event. Moreover, for the first time ever, the show will be live-streamed on Prime Video, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

In an Instagram post, the company announced that the “fashion show is back with musical guests, models, wings, and more”. K-pop sensation Lisa, South African singer-songwriter Tyla, and legendary icon Cher are among the star-studded lineup, with Victoria’s Secret emphasizing an all-female musical roster.

The return of the Fashion Show has also generated buzz with the appearance of Tyra Banks, one of the most iconic supermodels of the 90s. Banks was announced as a part of the supermodel cast on social media. The model retired from the fashion industry in 2005.

The brand also unveiled the lineup of models for this year’s runway. Gigi Hadid, a renowned American supermodel with over 150 runway shows, Paloma Elsesser, a champion of diversity in the fashion industry, and Candice Susan Swanepoel, a Victoria’s Secret Angel, were among those selected.

On its official website, Victoria’s Secret is selling “ultra-limited edition” merchandise from the Fashion Show. The items are pieces from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2024 cast and crew.

The first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was held in 1995 at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Since its inception, the brand has held 22 of these shows, with a record attendance of 2,500 people. This year’s event will be broadcast starting at 6 p.m.
