According to the official statement, the can features “an innovative design that includes a QR code, allowing consumers to access” a single created by Mariana Bo. “This musical piece, developed from the signature sounds of Pepsi Black, combined with the best beats, invites consumers to live life to the fullest and enjoy a unique sensory experience,” Pepsi explained.

“BLACK” is Mariana Bo’s latest track. In the first minute of the single, a voice asks, “Can I have a Pepsi Black?” The sound of a can being opened can be heard in the background. As the techno music plays, you can also hear the sound of a drink being poured. The cover art on Spotify shows Bo licking the new can edition of the soda while looking directly at the camera.
“Working with Pepsi Black has been an incredible experience,” said the DJ. She added, “The opportunity to fuse the sounds of the can with my beats has resulted in a unique creation that I’m sure will resonate with those who seek to live every moment to the fullest.”
Regarding the collaboration, Pepsi’s brand director, Rainer Strauss, commented that Mariana Bo “is a natural extension of our philosophy, as she embodies the authenticity, passion, and energy we want to convey to our consumers.”
Mariana Bo is one of the world’s most renowned techno DJs. Since 2017, she has been ranked in the top 100 artists by DJ Magazine, the leading electronic music media outlet. In 2022, Bo was ranked 34th on the list, which was led by Martin Garrix.
The new Pepsi Black can is now available through the company’s sales channels in Mexico. In the official statement, the brand emphasized that “this collaboration highlights Pepsi Black’s commitment to supporting emerging talent and celebrating musical diversity in Mexico.”
